Speaker Biography
Dr. Olsen started his scientific career as an instructor of Anatomical Sciences and researcher at Marquette University School of Dentistry. He graduated from MUSOD with a DDS in 1991, then started his private practice in Franklin, Wisconsin.

Dr. Olsen is an active member in the AGD, where he has achieved his Masters and Life Long Service and Educational Awards. He is the Regional Director of the AGD in Wisconsin and Michigan. He also serves as a diplomate within the ICOI, writing and testing implant dentists receiving Diplomate status.

Dr. Olsen is also an active member of the ADA, the AAOM, the AAID, and the AAFE. Additionally, he has served on national committees to write the DANB and the AGD Fellowship Exams.

Dr. Olsen became educated in Implantology many years ago in the Misch Organization where he achieved his fellowship and mastership awards. Recently, he has been published in the January 2016 edition of the ADA, AGD, RDH and the ACP Journals as a contributing author for the “Guidelines for recall and maintenance of patients with tooth born and implant born dental restorations.” He also recently presented two lectures on implant failures and how implant prosthetics are maintained at the well-known Mid-Winter.


This course is designed to review & update different treatment options and the proper use of our agents in Oral Medicine. We will focus on the uses of many agents that control, cure, treat, modify, and physically alter problems in the head and neck. This course will cover the agents and curative modalities to treat:

  • Anxiety associated syndromes
  • Pain
    • Best ways to control it before, during, & after treatment
    • Muscular trismus & trigger points
    • TMJ dysfunctional agony
  • Infections - Etiological agents - Bacteria, Funguses & Viruses
  • Pathological Influences
    • Syndrome influencing oral pathological diseases from immunological syndromes
    • Oral cancers
  • Cosmetic Alterations
    • Solving aging problems related to collagen breakdown
    • Decreasing creases & grooves around the mouth
    • Adding increased dimension to the lips
    • Using Botox & Dermal Fillers
  • Simple graft using PRF
